Murna visited the other day and after a catch up asked me to make her
sister's birthday cake and to decorate it with a yellow rose.
The colour palette feels fresh and perfect for spring (even if the weather isn't)

On the inside: light and fluffy lemon Genoese sponge with a zingy lemon buttercream filling.
On the outside: spring-like yellow sugarpaste, piped royal icing details and modelling paste roses and leaves.
